Can’t believe it snowed today. Ugh, so over this winter! But it gave me a reason to put Ariya in her snowsuit.
I also took pictures of Ariya trying to feed herself. This has been an interesting adventure, in teaching Ariya to feed herself. She loves chewing on her spoon!
And here’s a SOOC (Straight out of Camera) shot of Ariya. Which led me to my latest frustration of why I can’t get sharp photos of my girl. Is it because she’s always moving? Is it because my camera’s highest ISO is 1600? Is it because the natural light in my house SUCKS? A combination of all? I don’t know, but something has to change. I need to up my shutter speed, decrease my aperture, raise my ISO. The only thing about maxing out my ISO is that I hate the grain. A work in progress though. And I have come a long way in my 137 days of shooting daily. But I still feel like i have TON to learn. And I want to know it all NOW!
Ok, so the idea that not posting pictures of the baby or pets was short lived. Too much going on at the house. But when the baby is sleeping, and the dogs get a break outside, I bring the camera. Here’s a cute one of Emmy and Charlie in the snow. The focus is more on Emmy b/c I love the snow on her face, and her paw trying to wipe it off. She’s such a cutie, my sweet Emmy.
It snowed again today, so I couldn’t help myself in taking pictures of the dogs playing again in the snow. Here’s Emmy playing keep away with a branch.
On another note, I can’t believe i’m on Day 40 of this challenge! I need to step it up though, thinking outside of the box. Maybe I’ll play with some Christmas decorations in front of the tree. Goal for tomorrow, no pictures of baby or pets.
I can’t help myself when it comes to the puppies or the baby. I know I said I’d try to think outside of the box, and I will eventually, it is going to be a long year if I don’t. But with the snow still on the ground, I had to capture the dogs playing in the snow. It’s tough taking pics in the snow, b/c of the white in the snow. A lot of the pictures looked crazy overexposed, all because of the white balance. So most of the time, I was trying to alter the white balance.
Here’s Charlie, the flying puppy!
I woke up to a TON of snow this morning, which always makes me happy right before the holidays. Plus it’s my baby girl’s first snow, so of course I couldn’t wait to take her outside and take some pictures! This was taken with my 50mm lens, which I love oh so much.
